POLICE in South Bucks have learnt how to handle horses as part of a special training day.
The group of officers, made up of neighbourhood police and community support officers took part in the session as part of a partnership between Thames Valley Police and the Horse Trust.

Pilates classes every Thursday

Pilates classes take place from today on Thursday mornings at the Borlase Hall, Warwick Road, and on Monday mornings at St Thomas church hall in Holtspur.
Classes are suitable for people of all ages, from 16 years up, but anybody with a heart or back condition should check with their GP before attending. For more information telephone 07900 910667.

The Free Methodist Church has an additional Sunday School on Friday evenings from 6-7.15pm to cater for young people ages five to 11 with busy lives.

The Beaconsfield Twinning association will be serving mugs of French Coffee in the Reading Room, Wycombe End on the morning of the farmers' market, January 24th.

One Stop Shop refurb

The One Stop convenience shop in Aylesbury End, Old Town, will be closed from January 24 until February 7 for refurbishment.
The store, which used to house the Post Office until it closed in the summer, will undergo a total refit including new floors, lighting, freezers and decor.

A children's rugby team is in need of new players.
The team, which meets at the Drifters RFC ground off One Pin Lane every Sunday at 10.30 am, needs more 12-14-year-olds to join its ranks.
There are three coaches and the side and the side has a philosophy that everyone gets a chance to play, so if any youngsters fancy giving it a try, call coach Pete Smith on 07831 449417, or Russell Cook on 07973 229294.

A new club for children with disabilities will open at the Beacon Centre in Holtspur on January 23.
It will provide seven to 11 year olds with a variety of skills activities such as throwing, catching and balance to complement adapted sports such as boccia, kurling, basketball and table cricket.
