SIBLINGS who went to a town's donkey derby came top in a hunt for the animals around the high street.

Jessica, five, and Harry Cartledge, three, who live in Beaconsfield, were awarded £50 for winning this year's find the donkey competition, which is part of the annual Donkey Derby at St Mary and All Saints School, in Maxwell Road.

The competition involves finding 28 toy donkeys which are hiding in shop windows in New Beaconsfield.

The event is held jointly by the school's PTA and the Beaconsfield Lions Club to raise money for local charities.

Jessica attends St Mary's CofE Primary School, while Harry attends the nearby Kiddies Academy.

Beaconsfield Lions' member Ian Andrew said: "We would like to express our thanks to the shop owners in Beaconsfield who provided a hiding place for the 28 donkeys in their windows and to the parents of the children who entered the competition for visiting every shop in Beaconsfield."

We'd like to hear from you.
