BEACONSFIELD and Jordans and District Rotary clubs came together for a film night, raising £1,526 for the air ambulance.

Members bought tickets to watch Brideshead Revisited (on January 21) with all funds going to the charity.

A spokeswoman for Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust said: "The Trust is not funded by central Government or the National Lottery and relies entirely on donations from the public to fund its annual running costs.

"This will allow us to continue to run a fully manned, fully equipped lifesaving service."

The money will go towards medical equipment and helicopter leasing costs.

The Rotary clubs will present the donation to the air ambulance on March 12 at a special dinner at the Bellhouse Hotel, Beaconsfield. For more details call 01494 667 999.
