Curry lunch for former soldiers

A CURRY lunch at the Defence School of Languages in Beaconsfield raised more than £1,000 for a charity for soldiers.
80 people attended the event last month, including MP Dominic Grieve and Bucks dignitaries.
The Army Benevolent Fund gives financial support to serving and retired soldiers and their families.

This is a list of planning applications registered with South Bucks District Council for Beaconsfield. Many of these applications will not be heard at Planning Committee, but, rather, will be decided by Officers under the Scheme of Delegation operated by the Council.

A VILLAGER has appealed for help in identifying any more fallen soldiers missing from Seer Green war memorial.

A NEW tuck shop selling 'old world sweets' has opened in a Beaconsfield care home.
Cara Pealing and John Morris, residents at the Sunrise care home, Station Road, helped the mayor Richard Keith cut the ribbon last Tuesday.
The shop has been opened in response to residents' requests, and has been built in a redundant former smoking room.
Staff said it will be not-for-profit, and it will help residents who are less able to join their trips in to town.
