PEOPLE living in the Buckinghamshire countryside are bracing themselves for the release of detailed plans to within 25 metres of the new high speed rail route that is to cut through the Chilterns.

DRIVERS across Buckinghamshire have faced nightmare journeys as the county experienced some of its worst snowfall in recent memory.
On Monday afternoon, heavy snow began to fall for the second time in a week, resulting in roads that had been starting to thaw out freezing up again.

SCHOOLS across Bucks have been forced to close today after the county was covered in heavy snowfall overnight.
Roads have been affected and journeys made more hazardous by the conditions forcing many schools to close a day early for Christmas term.

Gritters have been despatched to Chesham and Amersham to try and ease driving conditions.

A TRADITIONAL Christmas farmers market, along with festive music from the Denham and Hendon Brass Band, will get shoppers into festive mood in Beaconsfield Old Town on Saturday.
