Hundreds attend attend Seeleys House craft fair

AROUND 200 friends of Seeleys House, a respite and day care centre in Beaconsfield for people with learning difficulties, helped raise funds at a Christmas craft fair on Saturday.

Parents, siblings, friends and staff started their shopping for the festive season with jewellery, wood turning, pottery and other crafts on sale. Father Christmas was in his grotto for most of the day.
Tim Addison, secretary of the Friends of Seeleys House, whose daughter Emily uses the day care centre, said: "What was especially nice was that a number of the stall holders commented on how very caring the staff are."
The Friends are raising money for a trampoline, improvements to the garden, a new green house, sensory equipment in respite centre bedrooms and day trips.
The day centre celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, and the respite centre will do the same next year.
