SIX THOUSAND people turned out to watch fireworks at Beaconsfield Cricket Club on Saturday - resulting in a whopping £10,000 raised for local charities.

Spectator Suskia Collins, of Rowan Close, Holtspur, who attended with partner Frank Thompson, said: "There was a really big crowd, a lot more people than usual.
"It was a really good display. Friends of ours who'd been disappointed by other displays commented that this one was very good."
The display is organised each year by Beaconsfield Round Table .Organiser Alex Dunlop said: "It was brilliant, and unlike last year it didn't rain, which was a big relief."
