Netball win for Alfriston School

Posted by Jack Abell on Aug 4, 09 05:40 PM in People

A SCHOOL in Beaconsfield is celebrating after its netball team won in the Special Olympics.
Alfriston School beat a school from Scotland in the final of the five day netball competition held in Leicester.

The winning team arrived back at school on Saturday to be congratulated by their friends, family and staff at the school.
The victory was the second in recent months for the team, who also won the England Disability Netball Tournament in June.
The school in Penn Road has also recently been awarded specialist sports college status, which will allow it to develop disability sports in the community.

We'd like to hear from you.
