Posted by Jack Abell on Aug 27, 09 04:59 PM in Beaconsfield News

BEACONSFIELD Secondary School saw a huge increase in students receiving A* to C grades.
The school, in Wattleton Road, had 78 per cent of its pupils acheiving GCSEs between the two grades, which is a 14 per cent increase from last year.

Head teacher Nigel Dudding said: "This is a really outstanding performance for us and is the highest we've ever had.
"I put it down to the incredible hard work of the students and staff, and the fact that we offer such a variety of courses to give pupils the best possible chance of success."
Bethan Morgan, 16, received eight As, one B and one C.
She said: "I'm very happy with these results. It's a big relief and I've been quite nervous over the last few days, especially this morning coming into school, I'm looking forward to starting my A Levels now."
The school saw 40 per cent of its pupils achieve A* to C grades where the subjects included English and Maths, which is a similar amount to previous years.
