RUNNERS from Beaconsfield were among the thousands to complete the London Marathon on Sunday.

Mike Floyd, service manager at Knotty Green Garage, Beaconsfield, and James Syme, old boy of Butlers Court School in Beaconsfield both ran the London Marathon for the Beaconsfield based charity Waves.
Mr Floyd ran in 3 hrs 58 mins and Mr Syme in 5 hrs 26 mins. Each is aiming to raise £1500 to benefit disadvantaged children in Kenya and need just £400 to reach their joint total of £3000. You can sponsor them at www.justgiving.com/waves/raisemoney
Stewart Smith, 63, of Farnham Common, ran the marathon to raise funds for the John Radcliffe Hospital which is treating his wife Jackie who has leukaemia.
He finished in five hours 31 minutes. He said: "I felt fine. I cruised round, could have done it quicker but didn't see the point. I stopped to talk to supporters after 12, 14, 18 and 24 miles."
