Beaconsfield pupils given Big Brother style questioning
A Big Brother style diary room in an inflatable office proved a popular diversion for pupils of The Beaconsfield School on their lunch break.
Pupils queued up to get inside and to take part in a consultation organised by Beaconsfield Neighbourhood Action Group to encourage young people to voice their opinions on issues that matter to them.
Inside, they were seated in front of a screen and asked a series of questions, with their answers recorded and filmed to be played back to the NAG which comprises residents and police.
Joey Brooks, 13, from Gerrards Cross, and Elle Lazenby, 14, from Iver, gave the consultation the thumbs up because they said there is little to do in Beaconsfield which would benefit from a better youth club, a street dancing club and a sports club.
Usually they spend their weekends with friends in Slough, Windsor or Uxbridge shopping, going to to the cinema, they said.
Joey said: "This was really cool, maybe they should do it more often. The only problem was you can tell that somebody is speaking to you from the other side of the screen and the chair wasn't very good."
