African nurses to meet Seer Green fundraisers

Posted by Greg Burns on Feb 27, 09 10:53 AM in Beaconsfield News

Two nurses from a hospital in Uganda are in Seer Green this weekend to meet some of the people who have raised money for their community.
Both are sisters at Kisiizi Hospital for which many people involved with Holy Trinity and Seer Green Church and Seer Green School have raised money over several years.

They'll be present at the family service at 10am on Sunday and at a special Kisiizi lunch to be held at Seer Green Parish Hall in School Lane on Sunday from noon. Anyone who'd like to go is asked to bring along some food to share.
Dr Ian Spillman, founder of the charity Adopt A Nurse, will be speaking at the church service.
Later this year a party from Seer Green, including vicar Gaenor Hockey and head teacher of Seer Green School Olwyn Davison-Oakley plan to travel to Kisiizi Hospital and offer practical help such as teaching, carpentry and computer skills.

We'd like to hear from you.
