Beaconsfield bakery missed James Corden's business
Staff at Bakers Oven in Beaconsfield have said former Beaconsfield resident and BAFTA winning comedy actor James Corden's move to London was a factor in them closing down this week according to reports in the national media.
The sandwich and cake shop, in The Highway - below where the Gavin & Stacey star used to live - closed down on Saturday.
And an article in today's Sun newspaper claim James, 30, used to be a regular visitor to the shop with custard caramel eclairs his particular favourite.
A worker quoted in the story, who did not want to be named, said: "With the credit crunch and losing key customers like James, the shop didn't stand a chance. We live in tough times."
James was born and grew up in Hazlemere and attended Jackie Palmer Stage School and Holmer Green Senior School and The Misbourne in Great Missenden.
He will be starring in comedy film Lesbian Vampire Killers out later this year and is rumoured to be working on a third series of the hit series Gavin & Stacey.
