The public is being encouraged to drop in to council meetings at Beaconsfield Town Hall and witness democracy taking place.
People hardly ever come to see what Beaconsfield Town Council's councillors - all Conservative or Independents - are discussing in their name, according to Councillor Deborah Sanders.
Cllr Sanders, an Independent, said: "I'm not sure if elected councillors should feel honoured that the public trust them, or disillusioned because people have little interest in council proceedings.

David Shuttle gift and cookware shop in Penn Road is asking people who care about the environment to donate their unwanted packaging so they can use it.
In the last 12 months the company's online business has increased and it is now shipping parcels all over the world.
A spokesman said: "So far we have recycled every piece of packaging received on deliveries etc and we would like to continue to do so. However due to the large volume of goods being despatched we are always looking for extra materials."
The company will collect large quantities. Telephone 01494 670 961.

A Beaconsfield charity is asking for primary care trust to give more thought to access for deaf people.
A recent GP survey showed that deaf people are less happy with their care and are much less healthy than those with no hearing difficulties.
SignHealth, base in Baring Road, wants the trusts to significantly improve services by creating a list of deaf patients, give more training and include deaf care in its monitoring guidelines.
It also wants deaf people to become more involved in patient forums and a position created in the Department of Health with a specific responsibility for the deaf perspective.

China-Diner-2.jpgThe owner of a Chinese restaurant in Beaconsfield has laughed off claims in a national newspaper that it is going bust.
The article, in The Sun on Saturday, said that China Diner in Station Road was "on the brink of going belly up" because actor James Corden, who lives in the same street, had stopped frequenting his favourite restaurant due to his demanding work schedule.
The chubby star of Gavin and Stacey used to be a regular at the restaurant which last year celebrated its 30th birthday.

Butlers-Court-29.1.jpgKathy Miller met Year 6 pupils at Butlers Court primary school in Beaconsfield and found them surprisingly well informed about both Barack Obama and healthy eating.

Who would you rather meet, Barack Obama or The Queen?
Kieran Bell, 10: Obama because he's the first black president and it's good because it shows they're not treating black people differently
Jasmin Kang, 10: Obama because he's going down in history and it would be nice to meet him and see how he's feeling at the moment. He's done something no one else thought he could do.
Maddie Thornham, 10: Obama because he's the first black President, whereas the Queen has been Queen for a long time and everyone knows who she is. It would be really cool to see him in person.
Neil Stephenson, 11: The Queen because she's more related to England and she's got nice paintings and stuff. I've visited Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle and found them really interesting.
Andrew Beck, 10: I'd probably choose Obama because he's the most powerful man in the world, which makes him interesting. Also because he's new and has just started, while the Queen's been Queen for a long time.
Ellie Cochrane, 10,: I'd like to meet the Queen because you don't see her much on TV, while Obama is always on TV. The Queen knows lots of things that people in her country don't know. I'd ask her if it's lonely being Queen because no one else is as high as her.

The people behind a new five year plan for Beaconsfield have been told they are looking at a golden opportunity to improve the town.

Up to a hundred representatives of different sections of the community in Beaconsfield meet tonight to thrash out ideas which will be used as the basis of a town wide consultation.
