Sudden death of Beaconsfield Concert president

22345842 Richard.jpgBeaconsfield Concerts have paid tribute to honorary president Richard Hickox CBE who suffered a suspected heart attack while conducting a rehearsal in Cardiff.
He died on Sunday, November 23.
Chairman Sally Willison said: "This is a tremendous loss for the world of music and particularly British music.
"He was a superb conductor and interpreter of choral and orchestral music."
He was born in Stokenchurch and his early career was forged in Buckinghamshire, especially with Wooburn Singers.
He went on to found the City of London Sinfonia and to enjoy an international career.
