Residents in the village are hoping to get funding for an outdoor complex on the recreation ground that could cost up to £100,000.

The job involves helping pupils cross at the junction Wattleton Road and Station Road.

Light up a Life

Iain Rennie Hospice at Home holds a Light up a Life ceremony outside St Mary and All Saints Church in Beaconsfield Old Town on Sunday November 30 at 4pm.
Candles will be lit in memory of loved ones, and a Christmas tree donated by the Hall Barn Estates lit up.

Evening shopping at David Shuttle

David Shuttle in Penn Road, Beaconsfield, marks its 30th birthday on Thursday (27/11) with a party.
The two shops which sell cookware, diningware and gifts, will be open until 8pm with special offers for tonight only.
Mayor of Beaconsfield Councillor Henry Wilson will be guest of honour.

A taster evening for people interested in joining Beaconsfield Theatre Group for its next production, Canterbury Tales, takes place tonight at 8pm (27 nov) at the United Reformed Church, Crabtree Close, Holtspur.
Auditions take place on December 2 and the production is in March. For information telephone 01494 675891

22345842 Richard.jpgBeaconsfield Concerts have paid tribute to honorary president Richard Hickox CBE who suffered a suspected heart attack while conducting a rehearsal in Cardiff.
He died on Sunday, November 23.
Chairman Sally Willison said: "This is a tremendous loss for the world of music and particularly British music.
"He was a superb conductor and interpreter of choral and orchestral music."
He was born in Stokenchurch and his early career was forged in Buckinghamshire, especially with Wooburn Singers.
He went on to found the City of London Sinfonia and to enjoy an international career.

Cecile Gallina was one of fifty artists to exhibit at the fair at The Beaconsfield School, Wattleton Road, Beaconsfield, on Saturday.

The company brings a courtesy car round most mornings to pick up staff parked in narrow Woodside Avenue and Malkin Drive, a tiny cul-de-sac half a mile from the Penn Road dealership.

The event was organised by Beaconsfield Friends of Cancer Research UK whose next event is a Christsmas coffee morning on December 4 at the Borlase Hall, Warwick Road, Beaconsfield, from 10am to 1pm. Entry £2. Christmas cards, accessories, gifts and food will be for sale.
