Cannabis plants chopped down from Pyebush field

Bex Pyebush Roundabout.jpgCannabis plants growing up to 6ft tall were discovered by police in a field in Beaconsfield last week.
Last Thursday at noon officers from Thames Valley Police (TVP) acted on a tip-off from a member of the public and visited the piece of land off Pyebush roundabout.
On arrival they found 64 cannabis plants, 15 of which were more than six feet in height, being grown there.
Officers cut down the plants and destroyed them and, while they have not made any arrests at this stage, the drugs are being analysed to identify the specific strain and street value.

TVP Neighbourhood Inspector Lucy Price said: "This is a great result and highlights the importance of local residents working with us to reduce crime in the area.
"On the whole we do not suffer from drug or drug related crime, however, we should reassure residents that we take a robust approach to drug dealing and we will continue to work with partners and local people as we reduce crime in Beaconsfield."
Deborah Sanders, Beaconsfield Neighbourhood Action Group member, said: "This is a great example of the community working well and it is good to see that people are public-spirited enough to keep their eyes open. Residents must not underestimate the important part they play when it comes to reporting crimes.
"It is also vital that people know that when they report crimes on the non-emergency number that the intelligence is kept and acted upon even if they do not hear back."
TVP launched Operation Falcon in 2006 to eradicate drug dealers, reduce drug driven crime and disorder and promote treatment for addicts.
In August this year Bin Van Dau, 43, was sentenced to 30 months in jail after being found guilty of the production of cannabis worth nearly £200,000 at a property in Baring Road.
Anyone who is alerted to any suspicious behaviour should call police on 0845 8 505505 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.

We'd like to hear from you.

Oh for heavens sake, grow up will you?

I would stake my career that you are the same racist "Jared Cross" hiding behind a pseudonym?

Why don't you get involved with some Community work, and stop being silly...?

Some career!!!!! A self-important, feckless and misguided "civil servant." LMFAO.

Racist? You can't do better than that? Always the last resort of a petty-minded communist. Crack on, Trotsky. You foolish hussy.

Career? Haha!

Look here, Street; in years of watching the discussion boards here, you are the only person I've ever seen mention race or color. Ever. So, when you call someone a racist, it is completely off-topic and beyond rich. If someone mentions yobs and you scream "racism," it's because you see color where no one else does. And that makes you a racist! End of story.

Judging by your spelling Mr Provera, you are clearly an American, so are hardly in a position to comment about what goes on "across the Pond" now are you?

I see things for what they actually are, not what NBC/Fox brainwash me with!! Perhaps you should arrange for an exchange visit with Jared Cross, then you can put your nasty little right-wing heads together and continue to peddle poison.

Good day...

Before, you called people racists. Now you're calling people Americans - for writing "color" without the "u". A poor detective, among many other things, you'd make.

Judging by your judging, I'd say that you are clearly an idiotic bigot and hater. And, wrong. But, who cares besides you?

For what it's worth, what you are seeing in my spelling is the result of a top-notch education. Can't say that for yourself now can you, plonker?
