Drug dealer jailed
A VIETNAMESE man has been sentenced to 30 months in prison for running a cannabis factory worth nearly £200,000 in Beaconsfield.
Binh Van Dau, 43, was given the sentence at Aylesbury Crown Court on August 27 after he was arrested and charged with the production of cannabis after cops raided a property in Baring Road on Tuesday, June 17.
Officers seized 903 plants and plant cuttings after being alerted by suspicious neighbours and police believe the factory had the capacity to produce an annual total of 34.7kg of skunk cannabis with a street value of £196,080.
Detective constable Tim Waterworth, from Burnham CID, said: "We are delighted with this sentencing which is the result of the police and the public working together.
"The information that residents supplied was integral to the investigation and has resulted in a drug producer being sent to prison.
"Information from residents is an invaluable tool for us, as they are best placed to monitor a situation and are oftern the first to notice any changes in the area they live in."
Anyone who is alerted to any suspicious behaviour should call police on 0845 8 505505 or Crimestoppers anonymoulsy on 0800 555111.
